The safety and wellbeing of every child is our highest priority – and we back that commitment with action.
At Our Patch Group, every child has the right to feel safe, respected and heard. We do more than encourage children to speak up — we create environments where they feel safe to do so, and where every concern is taken seriously, investigated promptly, and responded to with care and transparency.
Every child in our care has the right to feel safe, respected and heard.
OUR PATCH GROUP
Our Commitment to Child Safety
The safety and wellbeing of every child is our highest priority – and we back that commitment with action.
WHAT WE DO
What this looks like in practice
All staff and volunteers are screened before they begin, and child safety training is ongoing — not a one-time tick-box.
Our team knows how to recognise the signs of harm, and exactly what to do if concerns arise.
We have clear, accessible processes for raising concerns — for children, families and staff alike — and we follow through on every one.
Our environments are designed to be safe, welcoming and inclusive for all children, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.
We work in genuine partnership with families, schools and communities, because keeping children safe is a shared responsibility.
We regularly review our policies and practices, and strengthen them whenever gaps are identified.
Zero tolerance means zero exceptions. There is no circumstance in which child abuse, neglect or exploitation is overlooked or excused.
OUR PROMISE
"We know that trust is earned through consistent action, not words on a poster. That is the standard we hold ourselves to every day."
